The silver hedgehog didn't wake up as soon as he wanted. In fact, he woke up much later then that.

Silver shook his head and groaned as he got to his knees. When he opened his eyes all he saw was complete darkness.
All dark except for a small silverish figure in the distance.
'Former me?' He thought.
This whole memory crashed to his head at once and he gasped.
"The bon fire!" He yelled, his voice echoed through the darkness. Apparently his former self saw the fire to and gasped.
Silver got a split second of thought before his former ran off towards it blindly. His only focus was the small purple cat atop the pile of flame.
His heart stopped when he remembered what happened.

FLASHBACK

'Silver ran to the fire, the purple image square in his mind.
'Blaze? Could it really be? Is it even possible?'
Silver ran through the darkness till he could see the creature that stood on the bon fire.
He stared at her. She had beautiful yellow eyes and a glistening fur of purple.
He called out the only name he could think for her.
"Blaze!"
The cat turned to face him. Smiling she jumped and glided toward Silver. She landed about 15 yards away from him. Smiling again she held her hand out to Silver.
"Come on Silver!"
Silver smiled as his eyes began to get watery.
'I am coming Blaze' He thought
The hedgehog started in a walk but then broke out into a run, and then into a swift sprint.
He held his hand out at Blaze, planning on grabbing her the first chance.
Silver was about 2 yards away when Blaze started to disappear.
Frightened, the silver hedgehog flung himself towards her. But by the time he hit where she stood, she was gone. He picked himself off of the ground and looked around him. No sign of Blaze, Silver stood up and began to panic.
"W-where did she go? I mean she was right here and she was standing and waiting and she disappeared and now she's gone and I don't know where she is and-." He suddenly realized...
Silver stopped and grunted his teeth.
"S-she's gone.... again." The word again i> had a heavy accent to it.
He flopped down to his knees and stared at where she once stood.
"B-Blaze... why do you keep leaving me....?" His voice was cracked and shaky
Silver bit his lower lip as he felt the large lump in his throat begin to form. When he couldn't hold it back any longer. He let out a loud and painful scream and clamped his canine teeth together. Silver covered his head as he felt the tears roll down his cheeks and rocked himself till his legs hurt from the constant movement.'

END OF FLASHBACK

He shook his head.
"God no I don't want to see that!" He yelled out, running towards his former.
The only thought that ran through his head was- 'Stop him, you have to stop him!'
But deep down Silver knew that the request would not be possible. He was a ghost, after all.

But by god he was going to try!
The silver hedgehog hissed through his teeth when he saw his former reach out to Blaze.
With out a moments thought, Silver ran past his former and tackled the purple cat.
He didn't know what would happen next, or why he just tackled Blaze.
Silver snapped his head to where she should of been but saw nothing.
Only then did he realize what he had done.
"I was... I was the reason she disappeared." He whispered while looking behind him at his formers breakdown.

Oh god it hurt to see himself lose it like that. It hurt so bad that Silver wanted to scream and jump into that big bonfi-!
Wait a minute....
Silver turned his head towards the bonfire and gulped. His former self was 10 minutes away from falling into that pit of fire.
He sat down and stared at it. His thoughts were buzzing with questions.
What the hell is going on...?
What would of happened if I DIDN'T tackle Blaze and make her disappear?
Am I going to have to follow my former into that hole?

His questions were soon ruined when he felt a piece of wood beneath his fingers. Silver looked under his hand and gaped.
It looked like the same wood as-
Suddenly his former's foot collided with the wood and Silver's reaction was quick. He grabbed the log and swung it at his formers legs, making him trip backwards into the pit of fire.
Silver thought he might have a heart attack. The beats were going so fast and his adrenaline was past its charts.
He had just made himself fall into that.
"I had an effect on this ENTIRE situation!!" He yelled out to himself.
Dammit! Dammit dammit dammit! Now he HAD to follow himself down there!

The silver hedgehog gulped and stared at the fire. His former had stopped screaming a few minutes ago. So now it was HIS turn to jump.
He gulped and took a step towards it-
"Wait!" A smooth voice trickled from behind him.
Silver jumped from shock and turned around to face the purple c-
